About Us:
Paradise Farms, owned and operated by George & Kim Dixon, focuses on hunter, jumper and equitation training as well as showing and sales. We offer lessons to riders of all skill levels, beginner to advanced. We believe that making the basics of riding a priority from the start is essential and must not be overlooked - creating a solid foundation is key. Kim has achieved success in both the hunter and jumper rings. In 2009 Kim & Calvin K were USEF Champion and Horse of the Year in the Regular Working Hunter Division in Zone 8, they were Reserve Champion in the AHJF Professional Rider Challenge series earning them an invitation to Capital Challenge to compete in the Professional Rider Challenge Class and they also qualified for the $100,000 Hunter Derby invitational. In 2010 Kim and Calvin finished third in their zone in the regular working hunter division and again were invited to compete in the WCHR finals at Capital Challenge. Kim has also competed in the jumper ring with success and most recently imported a new jumper from Holland, a ten year old, Zangersheide that she hopes to be able to step back into the 1.35m ring this season. Paradise Farms spends 10 - 14 weeks per year horseshowing and hosts several clinics per year with some of the top horseman in the country - some of whom have represented the United States at the highest levels of competition such as the Olympics, World Cup and European Tours.
